Christian Donle is active as “classical” barrister and as counsel. He is committed in advising and representing mainly industrial enterprises and numerous medium-sized enterprises in all fields of industrial property (patent law, trademark law, registered designs), in copyright law and in anti-trust and competition law. He focuses on litigation, having rich experience in conducting numerous proceedings and interim injunctions all over Germany. An essential part of his work focuses on patent infringement proceedings (infringement and nullity) and especially in the field of communication technology. Fighting product piracy on an international level is also part of his regular work. One of his focal points also is the strategic consulting of enterprise involving drafting contracts.
Christian Donle is honorary professor at a university in Berlin where he gives lectures on the fields of patent law, trademark law, copyright and registered designs. He was involved in legislative procedures of the Bundestag as an expert and prepared comments on legislative procedures of the Bundestag for associations and public-law corporations. In his function as a member of various referee teams of AIPPI he worked out legislative propositions. For many years Christian Donle has been active member of the Board of GRUR (German Association for the Protection of Copyright and Intellectual Property) in Berlin. In addition, he is a member of the Committee for Registered Design of GRUR. He has published a number of trade publications and gives lectures on Intellectual Property and Procedural Law on a regular basis.
