Peter Schneiderhan has held positions in the Stuttgart judiciary, the Ministry of Justice of Baden-Württemberg and the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the EU. He was most recently senior public prosecutor and head of the specialised department for white-collar crime at the Stuttgart public prosecutor’s office from 2009 until May 2022, where he was responsible for prosecuting offences under white-collar and ancillary criminal law, including those with a European dimension (environmental, data protection, food, medical, UWG and computer criminal law).
Peter Schneiderhan advises and represents clients in cases with criminal and administrative fine law implications, in particular in intellectual property infringement proceedings, especially in disputes concerning the infringement of trade secrets, as well as in disputes with a European law background, in which there are points of contact with criminal and administrative fine law.
Peter Schneiderhan was a long-standing member of the Presidium of the German Judges’ Association and a member of a working group on Union law issues of the European Judges’ Association. In this position, he has drafted and represented opinions and expert reports for federal and European Union legislative projects in the area of criminal law and European law.
